Policy Purpose and Description
Key Areas of Responsibilities (KARS) - a summary of the intended outcomes of the work.
Competencies – the application of a person’s knowledge, skills and abilities to the work performed.
Classification change – a change from one job classification to another.
Career advancement – Expanded scope of responsibility and/or competency within the current job classification that increases the level of responsibility of that position.
Career Shift – Change in the nature of work being done from one job classification to another.
Career Promotion – Competency level and the responsibilities of another classification within the job family or another job family at a higher pay level.
