Policy Purpose and Description
The University's disability protection policy (Operations Manual, II-7.1) and Accessibility Statement (II-7.2) state that the University will take affirmative steps to advance the employment of those with disabilities.
Under University policy and federal law, the University makes reasonable efforts to accommodate students, instructional staff, non-academic staff, and members of the general public who have physical, mental, or learning disabilities. The person who has the disability is responsible for requesting accommodations.
Faculty members, graduate students, postdocs, and staff members may approach their supervisor with requests for disability accommodations, or their HR Representative, or they may contact Faculty & Staff Disability Services (335-2660).
